This little mesquite craft bowl wound up being an collaboration with a humming bird. While I was finishing the bottom of the bowl, there was this loud buzz around my head and when I looked up there was a female humming bird buzzing around. When I stopped the lathe she would fly off but when I started turning she would come back and hovered over the turning, very intent on what was going on. This went on for about an hour and she was nice enough to stay around while I went inside to get my camera and posed for a couple of pictures. She even set on my gouge and my hand but she wouldn
