Hollow sphere

This is a sphere that I turned out of one of our rare woods here in Hawaii, Maua. I turned it in 2 pieces, hollowed both sides, glued back together and pierced it. the sphere is 3.5" round and 3/32" thick. The stand is made from the same piece of wood. Finish is lacquer.
