Happy Wife Save

9" maple. It has been bleached, burned, watercolored, carved, and gilted. Occasionally, my wife Kelly and I do a collaboration. Normally, that is just me turning something for her to woodburn and paint with watercolors. (she is obviously the one with the talent) In this case, she did not like her design on the inside bottom. I think she wanted to burn it as firewood. Taking a chance, I took it to my shop and added the texture and gilt work. She likes it much better now. You know what they say..."happy wife, happy life", thus, the title.
