Half-Twist Mill

Half-Twist Mill

This 9 inch tall half-twist peppermill was turned from California Red Cedar. I've always thought that a peppermill is the ideal application for a twisted turning. The upper section was turned off-center and the lower section was turned on-center. A textured and colored center band adds a nice contrast to the natural wood colors. The pepper grinding mechanism is ceramic and contained internally so that the beauty of the wood becomes the principal feature. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
