Frank Lloyd Wright Basket Illusion

  • Media owner Tim Connell
  • Date added
The inspiration for this piece was several Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass windows, in particular the chevrons. Wanted to bring different design influences to the coiled basket illusion form. The green may seem like an unusual color to include, but it was a color used in Native American baskets.

Black locust, 8.25"x2.25". Faber Castell pens for the red and black and Copic markers for the green. Used 30-32 "stitches" per inch to get a finer resolution on the design.
