First Light

First Light

This is my first pendent light that I made using a rough turned bowl that my Dad, Phil F. Brown, started in 1993. The piece of walnut had a few cracks that I did not fill to allow the light to show through. It is installed in above a sink in an A-frame cabin in Colorado.
Love it. Clever idea, great shape.

Thank you! Exploring doing the pendent lights with my dad's pieces. Some he turned the bottom so thin that there is no way I can finish turn them without making them into funnels..even super thin. So I get to give him credit for the idea in that way!

Try to find a video by Peter Bloch . It will show you how to make a hanger. Opening the base will let some of the heat out also. Just a suggestion Look on Vimeo.

Thank you so much for this Bob! I have been looking for someone to talk to about the "lamp" market. What a perfect contact.
