Firewood Hollow Form

Firewood Hollow Form

Straight from the firewood pile! It has been a busy fall and I couldn't resist the hollow form practice. One of my thinnest walls and smallest openings. Black Oak finished with linseed oil and bees wax. 12" x 6"
Love it. The firewood pile can provide some very interesting pieces indeed. Who knew what that ugly log contained? I love the contrast of the undulating grain and the rays
Kirk, Thanks! Yes, the firewood pile has come into the shop and surprised me before. Here is another Oak firewood save.
