It's time to introduce a new wood type! This true capsule shaped box is turned from Kamagong Ebony (Diospyros blancoi) and includes a Ray Key style inset joint between the lid and base. This wood turns wonderfully, it is super buttery when cut, sands extremely well, and takes a finish like not a lot of woods I have worked with do. The colors on this particular piece are wonderfully green and orange colored; this wood is considered figured. Turned, hollowed, and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 2" tall x 1 1/2" diameter.
