Very nice, Roger. IMHO, you've got the proportions just right. Green ash is our most prevalent street tree, so I well know how difficult it can be to get clean, crisp details, but you've done that very well.

Thanks Dean. You are correct about clean cuts on ash. This is a kiln dried piece, and I had issues with chipout even with shear cuts etc. I had to go to the back side of the lathe, reverse the rotation, and used both my bowl gouge to do shear cuts, and a negative rake scraper to get the thing to a point it was good. It was partly the way the grain was oriented, that caused the problem, so reverse turning from the back solved it.
