Fatwood and Macassar Ebony Captured Spin Top

I haven't finished many projects lately. This is one of two--it was 90% complete for a while, but I managed to balance the top and add a bit of finish to the Ebony (fatwood left unfinished). Fatwood is an interesting material. It necessitates achieving a decent tool finish, as sanding it is only for the true masochists. The reward is a material that is quite beautiful in its grain, color, and translucence. 5.5"h x 2.25"d.
