Fancy Lidded Vase

Trying something new with my basket illusion technique-many thanks to Karl Hansen for allowing me to try his basket illusion technique and use one of his patterns as the inspiration and starting point for the design on the lid. The hollow form, guessing it is Spalted Beech, measures approximately 6.25"D x 3"H hollowed to about .25" wall thickness. Finished with Parfix #3408. The lid is 4" D x 3" H - the finial stone I'm pretty sure is Jasper, but I need to continue researching to make sure. The pattern was inked using Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens.
