European Beech HF

European Beech HF

This piece was turned from a crotch that I got in a wood exchange with Lou Alpy. I had not turned beech before, it's hard wood but seems to work OK when it's still wet (it does like to crack though).
This one is sanded to 800 and finished with burnished bee's wax.
5 inches high by 4 1/4 inches in diameter.
As Always Comments, Questions and/or Critiques Welcome.
I like the simplicity of the form. How did you turn the waves towards the bottom? ( just joking)
Great piece Best from Jeff Greenwood.

Thanks Jeff!
The waves come from (oh, you were just kidding)
Happy New Year
