really like this concept/effect... well done!
after the sand blasting process, how much sanding are you doing?
are you sandblasting, then turning or turning then sandblasting? or both, back and forth? seems nerve-racking to turn a nice piece then introduce it to a sand blaster!

oh... and that entry hole looks minuscule... fantastic execution!

The piece was complete before I sandblasted it. The only sanding was a quick pass with 120grit before blasting to smooth out any tool marks in the harder wood.
