I found an old glass insulators in one of our members antique shop and decided to make a lighthouse out of it after seeing a similar one on another site. The wood is Cherry that was full of Beetle holes and trails and reminded me of what an old stone and mortar lighthouse might look like after centuries of wind, rain and waves. It stands ~11" tall and is 5" at the base. I drilled a hole through the piece and ran some miniature fairy lights up into the insulator with the battery pack in a recess in the bottom. It has a spray lacquer finish on it.
