When I envisioned these pieces, I thought of water eroding soft rock. After seeing a PBS program on volcanos, I saw the marks left on the earth, as lava rushed to the sea. I think both visons of the eroding ability of nature is what I am trying to convey here. About 9+ inches, poplar

You just keep streaching this series further each time, these two have a lovely organic look about them, sort of X section of a worm eaten piece of timber.

Spectacular! As a long term underwater photographer I thought of some of the small crustaceans one sees only when viewing a reef at close range. They look like nature.
