English Walnut Vessel Trio

English Walnut Vessel Trio

This group of forms was turned from English walnut logs that had large sapwood areas. I like the look of the individual pieces, but I think they look better as a family. In the U.S., English walnut trees are grown as ornamentals and for commercial nut production.

Finished with oil and buffed to a gloss finish.

Hi Andy you are right they look fabulous as a trio! The timber is very attractive to the sap wood is a great contrast to the darker heart. I particularly like the way the feet make it look like they are almost floating. Great stuff

Hi Andy.
I was talking to Mark Sanger about 30 minuts ago and he said look at your hollow forms for inspiration .I can see what he meant these are very nice.
A nice set.

Regards George

They are lovely as usual Andy.

Your forms always inspire me. they are so beautiful. They have recently inspired me to start to make taller forms. Once I have finished them I will post.

take care

Mark
