English Walnut Bowl

English Walnut Bowl

This is a 9” x 2 ¾” English Walnut bowl with a round bottom. I really like the contrast in this wood, wish I had more.
James - very nice! I just came across some English Walnut and see you have a few examples posted of work you've done with it. Do you have a favorite finish you like for this wood?

@James Seyfried Thanks for the reply James. I have noticed your work and went back to check out some of it and saw you do have Danish oil on a variety of projects. I don't have any special buffing system which I see mentioned here and there with danish oil, so not sure if that's real important? Anyway, you really nail the shapes and profiles on your projects (along with some great wood grain patterns). Thanks

@John Dillon, Thanks! About the buffing system, it’s probably subjective on how important it is. I’m not sure if you are thinking the Beall system I use or buffing in general. For me the Beall system was convenient to get a set up to buff on the lathe.@John Dillon
