Elements #04

This is the fourth in my Elements series of what I am calling Double Live Edge turnings. These are my signature pieces which utilize the hollowed edge of Flame Boxelder as the top and the bark edge as the bottom. The piece is suspended above a water worn base by an acrylic rod. Both pieces of wood have been uniquely weathered by nature's elements. And I have then shaped and preserved it for others to enjoy. The red flame boxelder symbolizes flames of Fire. The bark bottom edge with a touch of moss ... the Earth. The clear rod symbolizes Wind. And the water worn base with wet glossy finish represents Water.
