I agree with Lamar. It does remind me of barnacles. Very good use of a beautiful piece of wood.

Thanks Lamar and Bill. It was sure fun to work with. Something I forgot to mention was that the wood is normally stark white. I turned one piece to see what it looked like, then went back a few months later for more. In that time they had taken some color from sitting in the weeds.
