Dotted Pilsner cups

Again, I had saved some glued-up oak railposts from a recent renovation. Tried dressing them up with Walnut plugs I made before turning. A friend had asked me to make him a beer stein but I opted for the Pilsner glass look instead. The three-dots were a bit much, but I thjought the "rising sun" look worked out pretty well.
No, I turned them from some scrap stock. It was the only way to get the perfect fit. I mounted the square scraps in my jaws and turned and check the fit, turned some more, etc. Once it was a tight fit, I just gave it a light sanding to make room for some yellow glue. This was all done while the oak blank was still square and off the lathe.
