Dorataspis costata

The inspiration for this is based on Haeckel's Art Forms from the Ocean. It started as a hollow ball and was them pierced. The spines are all spindle turned to about 150mm in length. The smaller spines are bamboo. Overall diameter is 400mm. A nice challenge but not for the feint hearted.
Bravo Wally. You've succeeded where I feared to tread. Fantastic piece, and don't you just love Haeckels' drawings...
