Deadwood

Maple hollow form vessel measuring approximately 7 inches by 7 inches. It was turned from an original maple tree from a local rural cemetery. All critiques and comments are welcomed and appreciated.
Joe,

What a fantastic piece. The picture only reveals a portion of its true beauty.

Can you tell us more about the coloring used and process?

Thanks......JL

I didn't get the name until the cemetery connection clicked!.......or, you got it from Deadwood South Dakota! Isn't that where Wild Bill Hickock is buried?.....that would make some sense, too.......!

Nice piece.

Thanks for all the kind remarks. They are all appreciated.

Joseph - The color is achieved by applying layers of aniline dyes and the finish is wipe-on poly.
