Corian bowl

Corian bowl

multiple layers of corian to form a cube that is then cut on the diagonal
Very interesting result and nice shape. I'll be the first to ask, then--How do you glue corian to corian? (or anything else)

CA glue worked fine. To construct, I built a 6 in cube w alternating layers of blue and white corian. Size was constrained by throat of my band saw. Cut the cube on the diagonal and then lop off corners and glue the resulting structure to wood blank and mount in chuck. Corian was not difficult to turn but generates a huge mess of dust and shavings. Turning to achieve semi-hemispherical interior results in the interesting lines. Light sanding and polishing compound removed scratches. No other exterior finish. Got the corian offcuts from a friend who has a cabinet shop. Give it a try!
