Al's Pencil Holder

I know this is just a simple piece, but a dear friend was visiting me for a week and we turned this together. He had never turned before and with a little coaching did a great job doing the parts that he felt safe with. We had a ball. It was great watching someone else work on my lathe. Now he's got a piece he loves and will use it every day. Guess that's what it's all about.
