George - I REALLY like the piece andespecially the texturing and finial. Not sure the red background is helping show it as well as a more subdude background might - but your work is awesome!

I like this piece a lot, excellent shape. The black part almost has the look of leather stretched over a form.

Very beautifully turned piece with a very well done finish.

I agree with the earlier comment about the background color. Generally a neutral gray or even black background works best. Light gray for dark pieces and dark gray or black for light pieces.
