This hollow form vessel is turned from end grain cherry. I carved along the grain lines to create the raised center band. It was airbrushed with acrylics and sprayed with Krylon flat acrylic. It measures approximately 6.75 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide. All comments and critiques are welcomed.
I like the contrast between the painted and unpainted center band. What sets it off for me is the carved edge between the two. More work carving the edge than just turning a raised band but definitely justified.
