Norfolk Pine Vase

Made from Norfolk Pine from Hawaii
Beautiful work Jim! Love that Norfolk Pine. Hope to turn some of it soon. Has this been colored at all (I'm color blind, just curious)?

Hello Don,
The old log was purchased on the island of Hawaii in a lumber yard sitting outdoors. I'm not sure the owner knew what he had because the wood turned out to be beautiful. The wood was thoroughly dry when I turned it and the color is natural. The only finish I put on it was CA glue and lacquer. I turned another part of the log which I will post in a few days, but it did not have any knots.
