Winng piece in the first Artistic/Enhanced Category Burr Oak with colour and various waxes and finishes. Raised on a plain white canvas so as to be hung on a wall.
Very nice. I too am curious about the size as well, I'd like to hear about what products/methods that you used for coloring. Has any texturing been done?
Mike
Thanks for your comments. There is a small bit of texture in the centre done with the new sorby miny texturing tool. The main body of work was with a rotary wire brush cleaning it. I firstly sprayed it with black Acrylic sray after the minimal turning of course. Then lightly brushed on various colours(acrylic) and dabbed off excess. Put some Verdigri wax over that and used a buffing mop to blend it all together. Finally a coat of Acrylic lacquer and mounted on a painters canvas. It is approx 18 x 13 inches.
