Box Elder Vessel

Box Elder Vessel

This is a hollow form of box elder (Manitoba Maple). It measures 8 1/4 inches in diameter by 6 1/4 inches tall. Finished with Antique Oil.
Nice piece! I love that shape.
What tool do use for this type hollowing? How do you get at that shoulder area?

Thanks Bob. I do most of my hollowing with a boring bar to which I've attached a homemade laser guide. It often doesn't reach into shoulder areas on vessels like this so I usually get at them using either a curved Sorby tool or a curved Kelton hollowing tool which I got from Lee Valley.
