The Hawaiians made great use of the butterfly patch called pewas (pev-vas)to repair cracks in their calabash bowl. here is an example. When you consider, the Hawaiians made these beautiful bowls by sraping the with rocks and sanding with sharkskin and marlin bills, the resulting craftsmanship is incredeble.
