I have not yet done any segmented work but your platters are very inspiring. How do you cut or process the pieces to assure a tight glue connection. Is cutting with a table saw adequate or do you also need to sand the joining surfaces? I would imagine that cutting pieces this small with a table saw requires very careful handling. Thanks for showing us your work. Jan Rehler, Corpus Christi, Texas
Really a very cool platter! The pattern is nicely balanced and pleasing. Gives me hope that I could do this too. I shy away from projects requiring precise math calculations. But, "glue, clamp, turn, repeat" I think I could handle! ;-)
