Walnut Hollow Vessel (fixed pic)

This 8"w x 6"h vessel was made from an Oakland, CA. walnut tree that was removed. After turning and finishing, the outer surface was pyrographically embellished. The finishing detail was an ebony collar.
-e-, this is awesome! From the thumbnail, I couldn't imagine what kind of walnut it was. The leaves are wonderful and I especially like the way you lightly shaded the ends. Did you do this freehand or use an indexing wheel or something different altogether? Really, really nice job.
