In early April, the OVWG had a monthly meeting featuring Kimberly Winkle followed by 2 ½ days of hands-on classes. I took the milk paint candlestick class. Kimberly was a great teacher, and we had a lot of fun! She demonstrated her candlestick turning and signature milk paint processes. The candlesticks are turned from poplar, followed by three coats of the same color milk paint for the base coat, and one coat each of additional colors is applied on top. After that, the milk paint is sanded back to reveal all the colors.
