Maple HF measures 8-3/4 x 7” wide. The base is a little small but it is very stable and due to some bad wood at the bottom I had to take this one a little smaller to get a stable base. Critique is welcome.

Beautiful! I think bottom is a little small like you said. I love a collar. Under cut the collar a little more to give it some lift. It sure didn’t take you long to perfect your hollow forms! Great piece!

Base too small? Maybe. But some of these forms we make are meant to be a bit off balance (visually) I think. So this is one the grandkids shouldn’t be around. Oh well. I like it. Keep turning I’d say.
