I saw an email from the AAW today talking about turning animals. Karen an I just finished Duffy. I turned and carved a basic shape per Karen's vision. Together we worked on Duffy's mouth. From there we drilled lots holes cut lots of toothpicks. Then Karen set herself to the time consuming task of gluing.
Years ago I rough out some Sycamore bowls that produced some wonderful ribbons of curly shavings. Karen gathered and kept a bagful which turned out to be the perfect material for fish fins and tails. Then paint and more paint and paint droplets and a base and Voila!
8" x 6" x 4" Thank you!
