After a great time meeting
@Michael Anderson yesterday at the OVWG, I am posting a new style variation that I have been experimenting with lately. This round bottom box, turned from Red Amboyna Burl (Pterocarpus indicus) is much rarer then the Golden Amboyna Burl I recently posted. It comes from Asia and the Pacific Ocean islands, and it really packs a punch with the clustering of burl eyes. Features on this box include a true round bottom. chamfered rim, double stepped domed lid and curved sides. Turned, hollowed and finished with abrasive wax. Size is 1 3/4" diameter x 1 3/4" tall.
