Beautiful design and workmanship. Do you turn the inside of the box first and then turn the collar to fit and sit on the lip. Then is it glued in place or just held in place by the fit? I assume there is a final finishing/shaping turning of the outside? Any info or direction will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Gary! First I rough shape the box. then cut the size of the tenon and part off the top, then hollow out and finish the inside. this point is where I fit the collar. Next I put the lid in the chuck, hollow and fit it to the tenon. Here I glue the collar (careful not to get glue everywhere) and press the top and bottom together so it clamps the collar in place. The next day, I finish the inside of the lid and then complete shaping the outside and finish. Im giving a pretty rough description of how i do it so hopefully it makes sense.
