Gofasa Burl Capsule Box

I was tasked to make this box from a really rare and small piece of Gofasa Burl (Vitex Cofassus) This wood is native to West Africa and the Solomon Islands and the burl is caused by irregular growths on the tree. The blank was small, so a capsule style seemed to fit the blank well. Turned, hollowed and finished with buffed abrasive wax. Size is 1 1/2" tall x 1 3/4" tall. The figure/burl is really nice on this piece, as well as the coloring and shape!
