Bifurcated Hickory Hollow Form

This is the other side of the log from the previous, "Bifurcated Hickory Vase" except turned long grain. Once again I was trying to capture the crotch feather in a bifurcation. 12 x 4" Finished with linseed oil and bees wax.

Hard to beat a hollowform for showing off a nice piece of wood. And I second that "cool" opening.
Thanks! This opening detail is making me wonder if several, say 3 may 5 depending on the form, concentric recesses like ripples from a drop of water coming from the center. Might be a cool effect...?
