ANCIENT DWELLINGS II - FRONT

Alligator Juniper hollowed vessel approximately 6" x 3" with Lapis Trustone nugget inlay. Finished with Parfix 3408 on the areas that aren't carved/dyed.
HI Gregory - Thank you! Alligator Juniper grows here in New Mexico it is identifiable by its bark (which resemble alligator scales). I enjoy turning it, it has interesting grain and smells great!
Thanks for the response. I find the differing woods across this rock we spin on interesting. I'm fortunate to live in an area with a large variety of species and several hobbyist sawyers. Being able to call a guy and say in looking for X and having a chance he can cut it for me is nice. The sawyer in currently working with most has great pricing, but doesn't cut any bowl stuff. I'm talking to him about changing that here soon.
