Shreddies Flower

I made this piece for a swap on the World of Woodturners forum. The flower is Sapele, and is embellished with some carving, pyrography, and acrylic paints. The stem/pedestal is African Blackwood. The flower is attached to the pedestal, yet is still mobile, and can be removed with a little bit of force for the sake of shipping. The primary purpose for the pedestal is to display the flower at a good angle, but it also works nicely as a spin platform (video in comments below).

Quite original ! I found myself saying “It looks like”?
And all i could think of was a circular saw blade that grew in your garden and now the seeds are very valuable!
Again I love it!
