Cherry Burl Vase

This is a black cherry burl vase that was really knarly and had a lot of holes in it. 1/4" wall thickness. Tried and True varnish oil finish.
Very nice! Do you twice turn your burls?
If it was fresh cut I would twice turn it. This one was very dry when I got it so only once turned. It laid in a persons shed for a couple years before I got it and laid in my basement for 6 months before I decided what to do with it. It was a pretty knarly looking burl.

Thanks.
