Crafted with meticulous care, the piece was turned on a lathe, then carved, cut apart, re-assembled, textured, and wood burned to capture the delicate intricacies of the bird’s form. Mounted on a shallow pond, the reflective surface evokes its natural habitat, now just a memory.
