Gold Relic

Ornate sphere, with walls at about 3/16" thick. Made from a single piece of Bradford Pear (well, two pieces– the cap was parted off and then glued back in after hollowing). After piercing, it was gilded in a metal reactive gold and placed in a Box Elder burl, hopefully to look like a relic unearthed from rock.
