"A Birdseye View"

After studying this box, I decided to name it as well! It is kind of fun to give my work a title. Turned from Birdseye Siamese Rosewood (Dalbergia cochinchinensis) this box is really striking from all angles. I have named it accordingly because all of the tight little birdseye clusters that are viewing out from the piece! This piece also has a nice sap element as well. Turned in a capsule style it is hollowed to a thin wall and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 2" tall x 1 3/4" diameter. I have posted other views in the comments below. This piece turned out really nicely!
