Carcinization chair #1

Carcinization chair #1

I had an idea for a chair back with a claw like form. At the same time I was making a stool with crab like legs. All my furniture was turning into crabs, which has happened multiple times in nature. It even has a term, carcinization.

Walnut with turned legs, post, and back rest. Back rest is a split turning with the ends carved.
I love this chair Rick. It likely wouldn’t be my favorite to sit in!!
Thanks Russ! It is actually pretty comfortable. The back rest is right at the lumbar and I only just barely feel the back post. The only complaint I have is when I sit straight, the front corners of the seat dig into my legs a little. I'm in the middle of making another one as a "his and hers" set and this is the "hers" one. The next will be wider and better fit my larger frame.
