The Group of Seven

Last year we were offered some Pacific Yew that was removed while building a home. These hollowed vessels range from 14" tall to 30" tall, turned and hollowed while green and then dried for a month or so and returned to true them up. Most of these were painted black inside and several have voids where the bark seams ran deep. Finished with multiple coats of tung. oil. Yew turns and finishes up beautifully with very little movement or cracking while drying even with the pith in.
