I watched the AAW zoom on airbrushing by Stewart Furini last week and thought I'd try one of his techniques. He made it look quite easy - haha. I might need a little practice yet!! This is a staved poplar vase; the colours are Chestnut spirit stains, finished with lacquer. About 6" tall. All C&C welcome.

This is great Steve! Your skills are solid right out of the gate. Since you asked for c&c, I think the side painting at the rim is a bit heavy. Just a tiny bit less solid black. I look forward to more!

I love the overall look and airbrushing work Steve but I marvel at your wall thickness! That is what initially activates my appreciation of the piece! This sharp clean line at the rim is outstanding!
