Time to go back to the round bottom boxes, and this one is exceptionally beautiful! Turned from figured Pale Moon Ebony (Diospyros malabarica) also called Black and White Ebony, it has amazing marbling and color variation. This wood is really hard to get, I fortunately was able to get a large piece from my supplier. Styling includes, a true round bottom, a more deeply undercut domed lid, and a chamfered edge on the rim. Turned, hollowed, and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 1 3/4" tall x 1 3/4" diameter. I really need to stock up on this wood, it truly is a rarity!
