Black-on-black with feather pattern Hollow Form.
Lyle Jamieson

Black-on-black with feather pattern Hollow Form.

Inspired by black-on-black pottery from Maria Martinez from San Ildefonso, New Mexico from the 1920s.
This hollow form is turned from Cherry and died black with ink. The surface texturing displays the feather pattern. 7 inches in diameter, 5.5 inches tall.
Gorgeous Lyle. We were recently at the Museum of the American Indian in DC and saw similar ceramic ones. You’ve really captured the style.
